Now for my card. I absolutely had to use Once Upon A Princess...it just wouldn't be right otherwise! So I made a cute little shaped invitation for a tea party. I could totally see it used for a little girl's tea party play date or birthday party.
I welded the shadow for the tea pot together using Design Studio and then created the regular shape to fit the card. I used a few different shades of pink (of course) for the tea pot and embossed the main part with Swiss Dots.
I cut the tea party words from Once Upon A Princess and used my white pen to enhance the light pink cardstock.
The "You're Invited" sentiment stamp is a Fiskars Repositionable Rubber Stamp set and I cut the shape from Once Upon A Princess and put an eyelet in it. I pop-dotted it, then tied it with light pink twine.
I also did a simple invitiation stamp on the inside so it would be quick to fill out. It would also be super cute to print out a cute poem about the event on the computer and cut it to fit inside.
I hope you enjoyed my simple, pretty tea party invitation. Check back tomorrow to see another shaped card that is a completely different style!
Now, head over to see Brynn's blog to see her royal project!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteFirstly I am in ore of your creativity.
I am wanting to make this invite however am having a few problems. Can you please help? I know I sound desperate but I just adore these.
I have welded the shadow card together in DS and that is fine and then did the base teapot. (is that what you did for the lighter pink?)
I then inserted the layer but hide the emblem. (is that right?)
The thing that has me stumped is the rectangle darker pink shape you have going across the top between the white and lighter pink that has the sting running through it. I can’t find that shape anywhere??? Can you please tell me where I would find it?
Any help you could give would be so appreciated.
Thankyou
Tracey

ReplyDeleteTracey,
ReplyDeleteSince you came up anonymous, this is the only way that I know to reach you! I got that color by cutting the shape called teapot-s (when you look at the handbook) then put the layer, with the hidden emblem, on top of it. If you didn't hide the emblem, you would also see that color in the crown. I hope that helps and you get this reply in a timely manner!!!!
Awesome Royal Tea Bridal Shower party! All the party cards and arrangements are so bright and super cherishing. Thanks for sharing these pictures. Even I am going to host a grand party for my twin’s birthday at some local Los Angeles venues. If you have any décor ideas, please let me know.
